C3/2011M Water bus KING (FIN), grounding off Helsinki on 18 August 2011

Water bus KING was on a scheduled cruise in the archipelago of western Helsinki. The Master left the bridge in order to go to the men’s room which located in the rear part of the bridge. The door of the men’s room got jammed and the Master couldn’t get out. The vessel drifted in a sideway swell and wind to port and grounded. The sea rescue authority evacuated the passengers and the crew. Personal injuries were avoided.
