This is the accessibility statement of the Safety Investigation Authority.


This accessibility statement applies to the service https://www.turvallisuustutkinta.fi/fi/ and it was drawn up/updated on 23 September 2020. The service is subject to Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires that public online services must be accessible.


The accessibility of the service has been assessed by an external expert organisation.

Contrast is being improved. Scalability issues have been almost completely fixed in some of the elements that are not yet required.

There is still work to be done on the metadata of PDF files so that e.g. screen readers can find the necessary information. Alt texts are missing from some of the images. Videos have not been subtitled or translated. This is a known issue, but corrections have not been started yet.

Things to note: Marking the search fields more clearly and making it possible to use the safety recommendation search with a screen reader.

The recommendation monitoring component is not complete yet, but it is in progress. Potential problems will be addressed.

Cross-linking in particular will be improved/more will be added during this autumn.

If you notice any accessibility issues on the website, first submit your feedback to us, i.e. the website administrator. It may take up to 14 days to receive a response. If you are not satisfied with the response or do not receive a response within two weeks, you can file a complaint with the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland.
