Tracking cookies

The website's visitor tracking collects general statistics that are used for developing the website and for controlling its quality. Data is collected on websites viewed, times of visit, browser types and operating systems, for example. The visitor's IP address is not collected for statistical purposes.

The use of cookies and visitor tracking on our website have been implemented in cooperation with the Legal Register Centre and Abako Oy.

Safety Investigation Authority uses the visitor tracking system of the website publication platform (Stato). The cookies used for visitor tracking are:

The cookie starting with ‘neta’: This cookie is used to distinguish between visitors. It is valid until it is deleted.

StatoSession: A content management cookie, which is used to maintain information about a user session. The cookie is valid for the duration of the visit, which means it will expire when your browser is closed.

You can allow or block tracking cookies by changing your browser settings. If cookies have been blocked, the visitor tracking will store only session-specific information, and the cookies will expire when the browsing session ends. Visitor tracking data is stored on servers located in the data centre of the Government ICT Centre Valtori. The tracking data will not be disclosed to third parties. The statistics may be used for information purposes, for example.

Links to social media services and share buttons on some of our webpages will not transmit any user information to the providers of these services, unless you click on these links and share buttons. The e-services of the judicial administration are provided by the Legal Register Centre, and the judicial authorities are responsible for the services together with other service providers. Technical log data on the website and telecommunications connections

Technical log data is collected on the use of the website and the telecommunications connections used to access it. This data is necessary for the provision of the online service and for ensuring information security. The log data includes information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as their IP address and timestamp. This log data is used only to enable the provision of the service via the telecommunications network and to investigate any disruptions and information security incidents.

The processing of personal data in this context is necessary in order for the Ministry of Justice and the judicial authorities to comply with their legal obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation.
