Light aircraft accident in Zimbabwe on 23 November 2018 killed pilot and four Finns — Safety Investigation Authority Finland is discontinuing active monitoring of the case

Safety Investigation Authority Finland has been in active contact with the Zimbabwe aviation accident investigation authority for almost two and a half years in order to obtain information on the accident. In spite of the recommendations of International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO's Annex 13, Zimbabwe’s aviation accident investigation authority has yet to deliver an investigation report of the light aircraft accident that occurred on 23 November 2018. According to the information obtained by Safety Investigation Authority Finland, it appears unlikely that an investigation report will be forthcoming. Safety Investigation Authority Finland is thus concluding active monitoring with regard to the accident. If Zimbabwe’s aviation accident investigation authority should deliver an investigation report in the future, it will be published on Safety Investigation Authority Finland's website.
