L2021-A1 Serious incident at the Kuusamo airport on 1 December 2021

Referring to section 12(2) of the Safety Investigation Act (525/2011), the Safety Investigation Authority, Finland, has decided to appoint its authorised representative to assist in the safety investigation started by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) of the United Kingdom in accordance with Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention). The serious incident occurred at the Kuusamo Airport on 1 December 2021. In the incident, a Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft of the Jet2 airline performed a take-off with the wrong power setting.

Safety Investigator Juho Posio from the Safety Investigation Authority, Finland, is appointed as the authorised representative.
